Question 1

Does OTJ provide armed security for private jets in New York?

Accepted Answer

Yes. OTJ Protection provides TSA ASO (Armed Security Officer) certified armed security for private jets operating out of all New York-area airports and FBOs, including Teterboro Airport (TEB) in New Jersey, Westchester County Airport (HPN), Republic Airport (FRG) on Long Island, and Caldwell Airport (CDW) in New Jersey. Our agents are federally authorized under TSA and operate undercover to provide discreet, high-level protection for VIP principals aboard private aircraft.

Question 2

What private airports in New Jersey does OTJ serve for flight security?

Accepted Answer

OTJ Protection serves all New Jersey private aviation facilities including Teterboro Airport (TEB) — the busiest private jet airport in the New York metro area — Morristown Municipal Airport (MMU), Caldwell Airport (CDW), Somerset Airport, Atlantic City International, and all FBO facilities throughout the state. For private jet security at any New Jersey airport, contact our duty officer at (646) 644-3653.

Question 3

Does OTJ provide private jet security in Connecticut?

Accepted Answer

Yes. OTJ Protection provides TSA ASO certified private jet security throughout Connecticut, including Westchester County Airport (HPN), Tweed New Haven Airport, Groton-New London Airport, Hartford's Bradley International Airport, Danbury Municipal Airport, and all private FBO facilities serving Greenwich, Stamford, and Fairfield County. Our agents are authorized to carry firearms aboard aircraft under HR218 and TSA ASO certification.

Question 4

What is TSA ASO Flight Protection and how does it work for private jets?

Accepted Answer

TSA ASO (Armed Security Officer) Flight Protection is a federally authorized program that places certified, armed security professionals aboard aircraft — including private jets and charter planes — to protect VIP passengers from threats. OTJ's ASO agents are TSA-authorized and FAA-compliant, operating undercover to provide seamless, discreet protection. For private aviation clients, this means a federally credentialed armed agent travels with you from departure to arrival, coordinating with the flight crew and monitoring for threats throughout the journey. This service is available from any airport in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut tri-state area.

Question 5

Who needs private jet security in New York?

Accepted Answer

Private jet security in New York is typically engaged by: corporate executives and C-suite officers who travel regularly and represent high-value targets; celebrities, entertainers, and athletes with public profiles; high-net-worth individuals and family office principals; foreign dignitaries and diplomats transiting through New York; and attorneys, hedge fund managers, or financial executives involved in sensitive transactions. If you travel by private aviation and have a public profile, significant assets, or identified threats — you need a credentialed armed security detail aboard your aircraft.

Question 6

How is private jet security different from commercial airline security?

Accepted Answer

Private aviation operates with significantly less security infrastructure than commercial airports. FBOs (Fixed Base Operators) that serve private jets have lighter perimeter controls, looser manifest verification, and minimal on-site security personnel. This creates a vulnerability gap that TSA's commercial airport protocols do not address. An OTJ TSA ASO agent fills this gap by providing armed, credentialed protection from the moment you arrive at the FBO through landing at your destination — a capability that no FBO security program can replicate.

Question 7

Does OTJ provide security for chartered flights and corporate aviation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. OTJ Protection provides TSA ASO security for charter flights, corporate aviation programs, fractional ownership aircraft (such as NetJets, Wheels Up, and Flexjet), and any private aviation arrangement. Whether you're chartering a single flight from Teterboro to Palm Beach or managing a corporate flight department operating out of Westchester County Airport, our agents can be deployed for any individual flight or ongoing travel program.

Question 8

What is TSCM and why do executives in New York need bug sweeping?

Accepted Answer

TSCM (Technical Surveillance Countermeasures) is the professional discipline of detecting and neutralizing unauthorized surveillance equipment — including hidden microphones, covert cameras, wiretaps, and GPS trackers. In New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut, corporate espionage, litigation-driven surveillance, and competitor intelligence gathering are real threats for executives, law firms, financial institutions, and high-profile individuals. OTJ's TSCM sweeps use professional-grade RF spectrum analyzers, non-linear junction detectors (NLJD), and thermal imaging to inspect offices, boardrooms, residences, hotel suites, and vehicles. Contact us at (646) 644-3653 to schedule a confidential sweep.

Question 9

How is OTJ Protection different from other security companies in New York?

Accepted Answer

OTJ Protection was founded by a retired NYPD Detective First Grade with over 30 years of law enforcement experience — not a former military contractor or private security industry veteran. Our agents are former NYPD professionals with real major-case experience, federal TSA ASO certification, and HR218 nationwide carry authorization. We offer a capability set — combining TSA ASO flight security, TSCM bug sweeping, major case investigations, and executive protection — that almost no other tri-state area agency can match under one roof.

Question 10

What areas does OTJ Protection serve?

Accepted Answer

OTJ Protection's primary service area covers New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island), Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties), Westchester County, New Jersey (including Teterboro, Morristown, Newark, and all counties), and Connecticut (including Greenwich, Stamford, Fairfield County, and all major airports). For TSA ASO Flight Protection and executive protection details, we operate nationwide across all 50 states under HR218 carry authorization.

Question 11

How much does private jet security cost in New York?

Accepted Answer

Private jet security engagements are custom-quoted based on the specific parameters of each deployment — including origin and destination airports, flight duration, number of principals, threat level, advance work required, and whether ongoing program management is needed. OTJ does not publish flat rates because no two aviation security deployments are identical. Contact us at (646) 644-3653 or john@otjsecurity.com for a confidential consultation and tailored proposal.

Question 12

Is OTJ Protection available 24/7 for emergency security deployments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. OTJ Protection operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our duty officer is always on station for emergency inquiries, rapid deployment requests, and same-day deployments from Teterboro, Westchester, or any other New York-area airport. Question 13

Our founder is a 9/11 First Responder and retired NYPD Detective First Grade with commendations.

Question 14
